Jesus on Mission: Surrounded
Series: Matthew 10

One of the most terrifying things for a group of soldiers is to find that they are surrounded by hostile forces. If we as Christians found that we were surrounded by hostile forces, how would we react? Would we think, "This is right where we want to be"?

Jesus on a Mission: Respect Everyone
    Series: Matthew 10

What did Jesus say to his disciples as he was getting ready to send them out on mission? First, travel light. Be unencumbered. Second, enter places knowing that you are the bearers of life itself. And that means everyone will accept the message, right?

Jesus on Mission: Jesus, Possessions and Minimalism
    Series: Matthew 10

Americans link happiness to material possessions. Jesus told his disciples to go out on mission and not take anything but the bare necessities. Actually, not even all the necessities! (Matthew 10:5-10) What does this imply about our approach to possessions and our attachment to them? Is minimalism the best way to be faithful to Jesus?
