Why Life Groups?

From the first weeks of the church’s existence, Jesus-followers started meeting in people’s homes to share life, read Scripture together, pray, and care for those in need.

It’s a simple, biblical pattern. And it’s the pattern our small groups have at Sanctuary. We call them “Life Groups,” and they are the heart and soul of who we are at Sanctuary. 

Over and over, we have seen that people grow spiritually when they regularly attend Sunday morning worship gatherings and are also connected in a midweek Life Group.

And real spiritual growth always reaches outward into the community. Our Life Groups actively serve under-resourced people in Sacramento. Ask a Sanctuarian about ReHome, and you’ll see what we mean! Whether you are a seasoned Christian or someone who wants to find out what following Jesus is all about, we can’t recommend Life Groups highly enough. It’s our way of living out God’s pattern for life.
