Life Groups

Life Groups at Sanctuary

Much more than a Bible study, life groups are also about friends, encouragement, and spiritual growth! Consisting of about 7 to 10 people that meet during the week, life groups offer a great way to learn more about the Christian faith and connect with others in a casual home setting.

Why small groups?

From the first weeks of the church’s existence, Jesus-followers started meeting in people’s homes to share life, read Scripture together, pray, and care for those in need.

It’s a simple, biblical pattern. It’s the pattern our small groups have at Sanctuary. We call them “Life Groups,” and they are the building blocks of Sanctuary. We have seen over and over that people grow spiritually if they regularly attend Sunday morning worship gatherings and are also connected in a midweek Life Group. And real spiritual growth always reaches outward into the community. Our Life Groups actively serve under-resourced people in Sacramento. Ask a Sanctuarian about ReHome, and you’ll see what we mean! Whether you are a seasoned Christian or someone who wants to find out what following Jesus is all about, we can’t recommend Life Groups highly enough. It’s our way of living out God’s pattern for life.
