Christian Community: Two Motivations
As we begin a three-week series on Christian Community, we want to ask just why we should feel committed to being with other people.  While it is true each of us can have a direct experience with the Lord on our own, it is also true that Jesus founded the church as a group of disciples.

What role do experiences of God play?
    Series: Matthew 11
God calls us to live by faith. We say yes, but living by faith is difficult. We find ourselves looking around for something, anything, to bolster our faith. Secretly - or sometimes not so secretly - most of us are looking for some kind of experience of God that would make it easy to trust God and hard to doubt him. What is the role of experience in our life of faith? We will explore that question as we study Matthew 11:20-24.

What Will It Be: Nothing Much or Something Big?
    Series: Matthew 10
According to Jesus, everything is at stake in how we respond to him. Many people encounter Jesus in one way or another, but the outcome of that encounter is often that nothing much happens. Ultimately those people lose everything. Others encounter Jesus, and the outcome is that something big happens in and through them. Ultimately they gain everything. How can we avoid being "nothing much" people and instead be "something big" people?

    Grace and peace,
